What a lovely place to have a drink + a meal . Very clean on the inside but could do with a little care on the entrance as there was day nubs scattered . Food is great . Had a mixed grill myself but a little pricey at 14 .
The Star is a very welcoming public house, I have not tried the food but friends have said it is good. Drinks in my opinion are a little above the areas average. With pubs going out of business at high rate, they have to do what they can to get support.
Not a patch on the pub it used to be. Limited choice of real ale which strangely always taste better from other pubs.EDIT:Now has a new landlord.The beer is vastly improved and the big screens continuously showing sky sports have gone. However the music played all the time is horrible.
